Habitat for Humanity International has announced a $1 million gift from Ann and Ted Dosch in support of its efforts to provide decent, safe, and affordable homes in the Chicago region and internationally.
The gift will be split evenly between Habitat for Humanity International’s Global Impact Fund and Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity. In the Chicago region, the funds will be used to support affiliate growth, leadership development, and awareness raising efforts.
Over the past two decades, the Dosches have worked on Habitat homes on five different continents, while Ted Dosch has served in board leadership roles for both Habitat for Humanity International and Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity.
“Support of the Global Impact Fund will help Habitat for Humanity empower more individuals in need of decent homes worldwide to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through improved shelter,” said Habitat for Humanity International CEO Jonathan Reckford. “We greatly appreciate the time, leadership, and financial contributions Ann and Ted have dedicated to Habitat’s work over the years.”
